@urlocalcherub takes the BEST power pants pics because they&rsquore the rawest realest and show off every detail of her perfect &ldquoimperfections&rdquo as society likes to them. She was one of the first people I stumbled across on my Pants Project journey and has become somewhat of an idol to me. What you see is what you get and that is a serious rarity these days. I&rsquove spent the past two weeks attending some amazing activist-y events to name a few Cheltenham Literary Festival alongside three of my idols @scarcurtis @nimkoali and @charlie_craggs the Bumble &lsquoBee Mindful&rsquo launch event and on Tuesday night an live recording of @emmagannonuk&rsquos Ctrl Alt Delete with @hollybantleman and @gynaegeek for @thisisourperiod ❤️ Not gonna lie since starting The Pants Project I have had periods not the bleeding type obviously of serious doubt about the online activist community where I&rsquove felt like it was all a popularity contest of who can do the most outrageous or name-dropping thing and I felt so demoralised by that - what I saw wasnt what I got. These past few weeks though the events I&rsquove attended have been so inspiring and stimulating and REAL. It&rsquos opened my eyes to how much good the activist community can do if we focus on what truly matters and talk collaboratively about what we can do to make the world better. My favourite thing to do at events is Q&ampA with the audience because one of the questions that ALWAYS gets asked is what can you/they/we do to bring activism into our every day lives - it can be overwhelming and difficult to know where to start. Each time I get asked this question I say the same thing it&rsquos about the small things. The snippets of conversation you have in the office kitchen whilst making a cup of tea or at a dinner party on a Friday night it&rsquos about being brave and just TALKING about the things that might seem awkward or stigmatised. I brought activism into my everyday by talking openly about my condition and photographing myself in my pants or sharing other women&rsquos power pants selfies to remind the world of what women REALLY LOOK LIKE and what we&rsquore truly capable of - it&rsquos working so far.
